SHS Graduation this Saturday, May 13th

Diplomas will be presented to the Stockton High School Class of 2023 this Saturday, May 13th, at 3:00 p.m. in the high school auditorium.

The SHS Band will perform the traditional processional as the seniors file into the school for the last time as a class. The Welcome will be by Superintendent Sarah Armstrong, followed by high school choir singing the song, “We Won’t Stop Dreaming” by Pinkzebra.

High school counselor Scott Bennett will introduce the Salutatorian and Valedictorian for the occasion.

After the speeches, a senior video will be shown with a special presentation by the Class of 2023. The seniors have chosen the song “Wherever I Go” by Miley Cyrus as part of their presentation.

Senior class president Cappi Hoeting will then introduce the guest speaker for the evening, Mrs. Michelle Towery.

Presenting the diplomas to the young women and men will be USD 271 Board of Education members Stephanie Niblock and B. J. Hoeting.

Then, Principal Lindsay Cravens will present the 2023 Graduating Class to family and friends before they leave the auditorium to the son, “Walk It Out” by UNK.

The seniors have chosen blue and silver as their class colors and the sunflower as their class flower. Their motto is “Live like Trey, Love like Trey,” in memory of their classmate Trey Wallace.

Junior escorts are Claire Plumer and Max Moffet. Ushers are Hayden Hilbrink, Breckyn Williams, Zach Young, and Rachel Dryden.

Graduating seniors are Melissa Jean Ard, Dylan Michael Baxter, Delanee Jean Bedore, Jake Rolando Benavides, Chevy Joe Bouchey, Elizabeth Desire Busonic, Landon Joel Hemphill, Cappi Jean Hoeting, Daniel J. A. Holinde, Taigen Elizabeth Kerr, Skylar William Lynn King, Addie Lynn Struckhoff, Colton Levi Williams, and Tierra Lee Yohon.
