Merchants await first baby of the year 2020

The New Year is just arriving, and Stockton merchants are preparing to greet the first baby born in 2020 with many fine gifts.

Last year’s Stork Derby was won by Boone Earl Bouchey, son of Rich and Brenna Bouchey of Stockton, who arrived Monday, February 11th, 2019.

Certain requirements must be met in order to win the contest and claim the prizes. The baby must be born to married, Rooks County parents whose address is Stockton, Stockton routes, Woodston, or Rural Route with Phillipsburg address, though the baby does not have to be born within the county. The birthday must be verified by the attending physician with the date and exact time.

The claim for prizes must be made within four days of the baby’s birthday; and the Sentinel office will provide the lucky parents with the proper credentials to claim the prizes. All prizes must be picked up within two weeks of when the announcement of the winner is made. Grandparents or other relatives may not pick up the prizes for the winning parents.
