Hobart Homemakers FCE
The Hobart Homemakers FCE group met Monday, Nov. 25, 2019, at the Stockton United Methodist Church at 7 p.m. Roll call was, "What are you thankful for?" We started out our meeting with Anna Muir giving the lesson. While Anna gave the lesson we enjoyed lemon cake made by Janie. The lesson was on "Everyday Mindfulness.” Mindfulness has many definitions such as living in the present moment, being completely focused on a project, taking a few deep breaths, having a nonjudgmental awareness in which each thought, feeling and sensation is acknowledged and accepted in their present state, paying attention to the present moment. It was a very interesting lesson to think on.
The minutes and treasurer’s report were read and approved. We discussed the greenery sales and they are already in and delivered. There are a few left and Janie will try to sell them at Olde Tyme Christmas.
Some of the members finished their recycled jean bags for the food pantry and we collected food for the food pantry.
Our Christmas party will be Monday, Dec. 9th at Gellas in Hays. We will meet at the Methodist Church at 5 p.m. Bring your secret sister gift and gifts for young mothers. Meeting was adjourned.— Reporter
