Plans by the Red Line Cruisers Car Club for its 7th Annual Cruise Night and Car Show are shaping up to provide another great weekend.

Cruise Night is on Friday, May 5th, and the Car Show is on Saturday, May 6th. Friday night, the Cruise will begin at 6:00 p.m. and end at 9:00 p.m.

The Poker Run will start at Bosselmans Energy from 7:00 p.m. through 8:00 p.m. Don’t forget to take advantage of the FREE popcorn at Leo’s Liquor!

The winners will be announced at the Music Trailer after the Poker Run.

The smell of food from the vendors will fill downtown Plainville on Friday night and Saturday. Plan on taking advantage of the great food at Bob’s BBQ; Red Barn Concession; Lil’ Dis & Lil’ Dat Roadside Grill; and Sno Shack. The local restaurants will also be happy to serve guests that night.

This event is an absolute “Blast from the Past,” with the purring mufflers from the vehicles to the awesome classic rock rock and roll music that will fill the air Friday night and Saturday.

On Saturday morning, the Methodist Church Ladies and Lil’ Dis & Lil’ Dat will serve breakfast on Mill and Main from 7:00 a.m. till 10:00 a.m. Stop in and visit both stands before you start hunting for those treasures at the city wide garage sales.

On Saturday, registrations for the Car Show will be from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., with the National Anthem starting the show at 11:00 a.m. Walk around the vehicles from the past, and enjoy the vendor food throughout the day. T-shirts will also be for sale with the money going to the Kansas Honor Flight.

Club members ask everyone to please take the time to look at the sponsorship board by the music trailer, and they urge fans to thank all the sponsors for helping support the Red Line Cruisers Cruise Night and Car Show.

Donations this year will go toward the Kansas Honor Flight. Four local veterans will be on this Flight the first week of May. We hope they will be in attendance when the Cruisers present the Kansas Honor Flight donation check. The community is welcome to join the Car Club at 2:00 p.m. at the music trailer for the presentation.
