The Rooks County Historical Society will present Clarene Goodheart’s “The History of the Outhouse” at the Rooks County Historical Museum located at 921 South Cedar in Stockton at 2:00 p.m. this Sunday, March 15th. There will be a brief business meeting held before the presentation.

The Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) is confirming its first presumptive-positive case of COVID-19 in Kansas. The possible case was identified March 7th with testing sent to KDHE’s Kansas Health and Environmental Laboratories (KHEL).

Pre-trial motions were heard Thursday, February 27, in a malpractice case in the death of a newborn baby at Rooks County Health Center.

On Friday, March 6, at approximately 3:00 a.m., Rooks County Sheriff’s Office assistance was requested by the Hays Police Department for a vehicle pursuit that began in Hays.

At the regular meeting of the Stockton City Commission, held on Tuesday, March 3rd, the commissioners voted to donate $1,500.00 out of the transient sales tax fund to the 23rd annual Spring Livestock Show that will be held on the Sunday of Memorial Weekend.
