Red Line Cruisers of Plainville plan Cruise Night and Car Show
Set for this weekend, Friday, May 6th and Saturday, May 7th
Plans by the Red Line Cruisers Car Club’s 6th annual Cruise Night and Car Show are shaping up to provide another great week-end of fun. The event is scheduled for Cruise Night on Friday, May 6th and the Car Show on Saturday May 7th.
On Friday night, the Cruise will begin at 6:00 p.m. and end at 9:00 p.m. But, the fun will start at 5:00 p.m. with a Piggy Scavenger Hunt for the Kids provided by the First State Bank. They will also be serving popcorn during the Cruise in front of their location on Mill Street.
The Poker Run will start at Bosselman Energy at 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The winners will be announced at the Music Trailer at 8:00 p.m.
The smell of food from the vendors will fill Downtown Plainville. So plan on taking advantage of some great food. The lineup includes Bob’s BBQ, Red Barn Concession, Chubbs & Spudds, the Sno Shack, and Rooks County EMS. Also, the local restaurants will be happy to serve guests that night.
There will also be tables set up along Mill Street so take the time to talk to everyone there. Setting up for the evening will be the Rooks County EMS, Masonic Lodge, Friends of Webster, and the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary.
This event is a real “Blast from the Past,” with the purring mufflers from the vehicles to the awesome classic Rock and Roll music that will fill the air Friday night and Saturday.
And don’t forget, the Methodist Church ladies will be serving breakfast on the corner of Mill and Main on Saturday morning from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
Registrations for the Car Show will be from 8:00 a.m. through 11:00 a.m. on Saturday morning with the National Anthem starting off the show at 11:00 a.m. Come walk around the vehicles from the past, and enjoy the vendors’ food.
The Club members ask that everyone please take the time to look at the Sponsorship Board by the Music Trailer, and urge fans to thank all sponsors for helping support the Red Line Cruisers Cruise Night and Car Show.
Donations will go toward a scholarship for a local high school student enrolling in a technical or trade school for a career in the Automotive Field and, also for community projects.
