Join us in celebrating America's 250th birthday with an unforgettable Block Party on Wednesday, July 1st, at 11:30 a.m. at 200 S.W. First Street by the Plainville Memorial Library! The festivities will kick off with booths opening up at 11:30 a.m., followed by an old-fashioned BBQ lunch of hot dogs, watermelon, and cold drinks at 11:45 a.m.

Then, the Presentation of Colors by the 997th Brigade Support Battalion of the Kansas National Guard will be held at 12:10 p.m., with the Cardinal Choir to sing the National Anthem. Afterwards everyone can join in to sing 'Happy Birthday' to the greatest nation in the world and enjoy a slice of birthday cake.

At 12:30 p.m., there will be a special event for the SLP youth patrons with the P.V.F.D.

Astra Bank, Next-Tech, the City of Plainville, and the Plainville Memorial Library are the sponsors of this special event.
