The Rooks County Conservation District is encouraging young photographers to showcase their creativity and appreciation for conservation by entering the 2026 RCCD Photo Contest during this year's Rooks County Free Fair. The contest is open to youth ages 2 through 18, with entries highlighting conservation practices in Rooks County. A $50 cash grand prize will be awarded for the top photograph.

Photo entries may be submitted at the Open Class Building on Sunday, August 2, from 3 to 5 p.m., or Monday, August 3, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Participants are encouraged to capture the beauty of Rooks County while emphasizing the importance of conservation through their photography.
