SHS Lady Tigers pick up four wins last week

In last week’s volleyball action, the Stockton Lady Tigers picked up four wins, two at the quadrangular in Stockton on Tuesday, and two more in the Ellis Tournament on Saturday. The Lady Tigers’ record now stands at 6-18 on the season.

Tuesday’s quadrangular found Stockton falling to Norton 22-25, 15-25, but coming back to defeat Hill City 26-24, 25- 15, as well as Plainville 25-18, 25-11. Scores of the other matches played were: Hill City def. Plainville 25-14, 26-24; Norton def. Plainville 25-12, 25- 20; and Norton def. Hill City 25-9, 25-14.

The Lady Tigers went 2-3 at the tourney in Ellis, downing Northern Valley 25-18, 25-15, and Plain ville 25-12, 27-25. Their losses came to Victoria 17-25, 14-25, Ellis 25-23, 17-25, 20-25, and Sacred Heart 20-25, 18-25.

This week Stockton hosted Lakeside on Monday, and Osborne and Hill City in a triangular on Tuesday. Next Tuesday the Lady Tigers will host Northern Valley and Logan with action beginning at 5:00 p.m.
