Virgi’s Views On This ‘n That
My Opinion
This push of the green agenda and purchasing electric cars is going to “backfire” big time. First off, who can afford a $40,000.00 to $50,000.00 car? FYI: All the cars I have purchased in my lifetime have yet to reach that total.
Are they going to install electric chargers in EVERY town in the United States? And if so, how many in each town? Plus, I sure as heck will not help pay for the installation of them. I am already to the point of seriously thinking of not paying taxes because of things that are already being paid for that I am vehemently opposed to. Plus, if there are only one or two chargers in each small town, can you imagine how long the line would be while you are waiting to get your vehicle charged up?
Another point they haven’t thought through is that I understand the battery charge is only good for about 300 miles. That means extra time on any long trip a person would take because you will have to make four or five or six stops along the route to charge up your vehicle. How crazy is that?
Gas and diesel powered vehicles are a staple for farmers, truckers, etc. No one pushing this agenda must have ever sat in a tractor and worked the field during wheat harvest, or hauled products for sale in the back of a semi across the nation. So if they think that higher gas prices is their way of getting people to purchase electric cars, they better think again. How are the farmers going to be able to work their fields and cattle when the gas prices soar higher than they are now?
Some of the things that I see happening is people just won’t go on those long vacations like we do now. This will make for a huge drop in tourism across the country, and will be hard on businesses and vacation destinations that make their living through tourism. That in turn will show a downward trend in the entire economy. And the high price of gas and diesel will be reflected in the prices of products, so people will just buy the items they need and will go without the frivolous things they want just for fun. How is that going to help?
So, I guess those “green” people can just drive around in their little electric cars to places that are closed.
People have to look at the bigger picture and that is just not happening. If I can see it, it makes me wonder why they can’t see if, or if they just don’t care.
