* I can’t believe this happened—I met a person who doesn’t know who Davy Jones was, or for that matter who The Monkees were! How can that be?!

* I read this about the legendary Kobe Bryant. His wife Vanessa asked him why he wouldn’t sit out a game when he was hurting. He replied, “What about the fans who saved up to watch me play just once?”

* I am going to have to try this with my grandkids….Mix six cups of water, one cup of corn syrup and two cups of regular strength Joy dish soap together. This combination is supposed to make industrial strength, un-poppable bubbles.

* You have to be of a certain age to get this one…“A friend of mine called and asked to meet me at the music shop in 45. I made it in 33, which is record speed.” * Who used Dippity Do, had a Spirograph game, knows who Lamb Chop was, used a hammer or rock to make those red cap gun rolls fire, and smoked candy cigarettes? Me, it is me!

* I didn’t vote for the Kansas governor in the last election, so if I can please, I would like to use that vote now and give it to Florida’s governor, Ron DeSantis.

* Unleaded gasoline was $2.81 a gallon the first week of June.

* I think I informed everyone in an earlier editorial that I was trying my hand at planting a strawberry patch for my kiddos. Well, I am happy to report that all of the plants have survived and I have three or four little strawberries growing at this time. I think having a cooler spring and plenty of rain helped out tremendously in getting it started!

* Just saying, I don’t think the upcoming movie “Space Jam 2” is going to do very well. To put it simply, “How can you even compare LeBron James to MICHAEL JORDAN?! That man can fly!

* When in doubt, travel!

* Who out there understands the connection between clear nail polish and panty hose?

* Did you ever notice that 6:45 in the morning sounds way earlier than quarter till seven? Or is it just me?

* I loved writing the article about 183 Lanes! That is “right up my alley” since it was my mom and dad who opened the Bowling Alley 56 years ago! It brought back such wonderful memories for me.
