* I want to take this opportunity to THANK the Rooks County’s school districts and the health care/medical personnel, as well as all of the teachers and school staff who made it a priority to keep the schools open during this pandemic. Having some sort of normalcy for the kids is key and you all have gone above and beyond to make that happen. It is greatly appreciated.

* Yes, I have watched the entire first season of “Julie & The Phantoms” on Netflix. Loved it and I hope they are renewed for a second season.

* Hey, who is old enough to remember when you could get a record on the back of your cereal box?

* And here is a question for all of you ‘60s music lovers and rockers. “Which band was better—The Beatles or The Rolling Stones?”

* How old would you be if you didn’t know how old you are?

* My sweet niece and nephew planned a staycation luau at their house this month. They had everything from leis to a picture of a sandy beach on their TV.

* Unleaded gas prices at the end of February were $2.29 per gallon.

* And just like that it is almost March, which means it is Tessa’s birthday month with plenty of activities planned for my pretty girl!

* A grateful thank you to Kansas Senators Roger Marshall and Jerry Moran for doing the job we voted them in to do. Go online and read their statements about the Trump impeachment trial.

* After enduring the frigid cold temperatures we had during the middle of February, I just want to shout, “I am ready for summer! Bring on the heat, the pool, the sand and the sun!”

* “It will never be time to give up on the United States. It will never be time to give up on yourself. Trust me.” Rush Limbaugh

* This really makes a lot of sense to me. “You know when you buy a bag of salad and it gets all brown and soggy? Cookies don’t do that.”

* “The government takes your money in taxes and then turns around and spends some of it to give you things. For this, you feel dependent on them, when in fact they are dependent on you.” Thomas Sowell

* Did anyone try to throw a glass of water up into the air to see if it would instantly freeze during those below zero temperatures? Just wondering.
