This ‘n That
* I have been listening to the music of John Cougar (he was John Cougar back then, now he is John Mellencamp) for the past week or so. I was lucky enough to see him in concert at Fort Hays State University years ago! Yes, I was right up front! He wore a white T-shirt, jeans, and boots, and the writing on his shirt is something I can’t write in this editorial since this is a family newspaper!
* One of my favorite Fall activities is not sweating anymore.
* Is this you? No matter how busy I am, I still find time to waste scrolling on Instagram.
* The older you get, the more you realize a lot of life is simply choosing what is worth your energy.
* One of my favorite hobbies is going home, being at home, sitting inside my home, and staying home.
* When you reach a certain age, you can either do a daytime activity or nighttime activity, but under no circumstances can you do both.
* The best sleeping conditions are a freezing cold room under layers and layers of blankets. You can disagree, but you would be wrong.
*If you are not using the stuff in your home, get rid of it. You’re not going to start using it more by shoving it in a closet somewhere.
* I was taught to be ten minutes early instead of even one minute late.
* Summer is over! Release the bats!
* Maybe living your best life means slowing down enough to see how good it already is.
* Somewhere in the world, someone is carrying a happy memory that includes you.
* Having a son is wondering if he is going to tackle you or snuggle you or maybe a little bit of both!
* Yes, we need an extra day between Saturday and Sunday. Sunturday or something like that would work.
* I did some financial planning, and it looks like I can retire at 97 and live comfortably for eleven minutes.
* Not to brag or anything, but I was alive when you could SLAM the phone down to hang up on someone. It was simply spectacular!
* The biggest communication problem we have now is that we don’t listen to understand; we listen to reply.
