This ‘n That
* I can’t do Snapchat or TikTok, but I can write in cursive and tell time on a clock with hands.
* Remember in “Terminator” when Sarah Connor was locked in a hospital for trying to blow up a computer facility data center to prevent the creation of the Artificial Intelligence network they called Skynet?
* No, I am not a potted plant, but I do really need sunlight, fresh air, and water to be my best self.
* Sometimes the best part of the day is that part that wasn't in the plan.
* I don’t understand why people act all surprised after they say, “Bite me.”
* Before Bluetooth, we had boomboxes and D batteries.
* I bought a little bag of air today. The company that made it was kind enough to put some potato chips in it as well.
* A porcupine is what people would describe as “Open Carry,” and a skunk is what would be called “Concealed Carry.”
* Yes, “Jesus got the wheel,” but sometimes I know we are off-roading.
* Back in my day, it was a game of dodgeball where you found out who really didn’t like you. Or Red Rover!
* Yes, I am over 50. Yes, I can remember lyrics from a thousand different ‘80s songs. And no, I don’t remember your name even though you just told me 60 seconds ago. * I think if someone built an ‘80s theme park, it would be packed every day!
* What old age has taught me. Calories no longer have to be eaten to gain weight; apparently making eye contact with the food is enough.
* Singer Bonnie Tyler passed away recently. I will always remember her song “Holding Out for a Hero” from the movie “Footloose.” That scene is totally awesome!
* Instead of telling a woman she “looks nice,” when she asks, try taking a line from the Air Supply song and say, “Every time I see you all the rays of the sun are all streaming through the waves in your hair, and every star in the sky is taking aim at your eyes like a spotlight.”
* For mom…. I would pick my mother to be my mother again and again in every lifetime, in every world, in every universe.
