This ‘n That
* All moms know why the Mama bear’s porridge was cold.
* And here is a tip for your Easter Egg Hunt. Have different colored eggs for each kid.
* If they don’t want you to dance in the grocery store aisles, then why do they play music?
* I wonder if this tip works and I will try it the next time I make spaghetti or chili. Spray the inside of the storage/plastic container with no-stick cooking spray before pouring the leftovers in them. It will help prevent the containers from becoming red sauce stained.
* What is a saying that kids nowadays will never know or understand? We can start with “Roll the window down” and “Hang up the phone.”
* Tossing and turning at night should be counted as exercise. * Back in my day there was so much toilet paper and eggs that we would tee pee trees and egg houses on Halloween!
* I am going to try this cake recipe because who doesn’t love peanut butter and jelly? Take any vanilla box cake mix, add one cup of peanut butter (plain or chunky) to the bowl of dry mix and when it is combined (it will look crumbly), add in the wet ingredients according to the package instructions and mix until creamy. Pour the mixture into a 9 x 13 greased pan. Bake as per instructions. After the cake is cooled, poke holes evenly in the cake. Now take one cup of grape jelly/jam or your preferred favorite flavor and heat it in the microwave for about 30 seconds (it said to watch this step carefully). Pour the warm jelly over the cake into the holes and then allow the cake to cool completely (put it in the refrigerator for about an hour). For the frosting beat one half cup of peanut butter for about two minutes then gently fold in one third cup of whipped topping until it is blended well. Spread the topping over the cooled cake. You might think this is going to taste pretty yummy as is, but this next step will take it over the top. Microwave onefourth cup of jam/jelly and one-fourth cup of peanut butter in two separate bowls for about ten seconds. Then drizzle the warm peanut butter and jam over the whipped topping. Sprinkle with chopped peanuts and serve immediately or store in the refrigerator for a cool treat. Now doesn’t that sound like it will stick to the roof of your mouth in a good way? I think I would like mine served cold.
* Jean-Claude Van Damme was asked who would win in a showdown between him and Chuck Norris. He stated with a smile: “I run very fast.”
* There is no such thing as too much love.
