* I’m sad to hear that James Earl Jones passed away. I loved him in the movies “Field of Dreams,” and “The Sandlot.” And, oh yeah, he was the voice of Darth Vader and Mufasa, as if anybody didn’t know that! He is one of a handful of actors who earned an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony in one year. He also narrated the Bible, stating it was his greatest honor.

* Not going to lie; I was hoping for George Strait as the Super Bowl halftime entertainment.

* I read this and had to share…..McDonald killed Burger King in front of Popeye over that girl Wendy. The funeral is at KFC. Are you going? Yes, I’m taking the Subway.

* Did you know that counting down to your next cruise is the adult version of counting down to Christmas?

* Did you all watch the Paris Paralympics? There are no words to describe those amazing athletes!

* Do you ever wonder if Adam Sandler channels Jerry Lewis in some of his films? If you don’t know who Jerry Lewis is, check out some of his early movies from the 1960s. My favorite is “Cinderfella.” He was also part of the comedy team of Martin and Lewis, and he hosted the annual Jerry Lewis Muscular Dystrophy Labor Day Telethon from September 4th, 1966, to its final episode on August 31st, 2014.

* And talking about actors, check out Tony Curtis’ movies. My favorites include “Houdini,” “Trapeze,” “Spartacus,” and “Taras Bulba.”

* The yellow butterflies flitting around my live-forever plants are just magical. I love to walk by, so they fly up and around me. It’s like being in a fairy tale.

* In the spirit of the official start to autumn this Sunday, since I can’t wait for the cool, crisp football evenings and leaves swirling about, and for my “practically perfect in every way” friend, Joan, here is a little something for fun….. Winds in the east, mist’s coming in, like something is brewing, about to begin. Can’t put me finger on what lies in store; I feel what’s to happen all happened before.
