This ‘n That
* I like this….If you had to choose between eating tacos every day or being skinny for the rest of your life—would you choose hard or soft tacos?
* I saved all my hollyhock seeds last year and planted every one of them by my back fence on the west side of my house last fall. Nothing new has popped up there this year except for one lone plant that decided to grow in my ROCK driveway clear on the east side of my yard!
* Another reason to love actor Henry Cavill. He is a Chiefs fan! He wants everyone to know he decided on Kansas City pre-Mahomes when he was starring in the Superman movies a few years back. Cavill said that since Clark Kent was raised in Kansas, it was only natural that Clark would be a KC fan, so Henry decided to be one, too!
* Isaiah Pacheco was at the Kentucky Derby! And may I say, he did look fine!
* Here is another saying I like….Heaven has a wall, a gate, and a strict immigration policy. Hell has open borders.
* After 41 seasons spanning 43 years, Pat Sajak’s time as TV’s Wheel of Fortune host will come to an end in less than a few weeks! I, for one, will be sad. I enjoyed tuning in and trying to figure out the word puzzles. The show still might have Vanna going forward, but I am not a fan of Ryan Seacrest, who is set to take over as host. It’s going to be like Jeopardy after Alex Trebek passed away. I haven’t watched Jeopardy since, and now I won’t watch the new version of Wheel of Fortune. So all I can say is, “Thank God for reruns!”
* I read where you put a squirt or two of Dawn dish soap on a white rag and throw it into your white bundle of clothes in the washer. It is supposed to make the clothes three times whiter and brighter. Somebody tell me if this works.
* Something everyone needs to know….Some of the musicians singing the backup vocals for The Beatles’ song “All You Need is Love,” are Mick Jagger and Keith Richards from The Rolling Stones, Eric Clapton, and Keith Moon from The Who.
