Hello June!
It’s June! School is out, and the endless days of summer are finally here! And don’t forget to celebrate some of these national holidays during the month….
Since I am a few days behind in naming some of the June holidays, here are a few that have already been observed, but feel free to celebrate them if you choose to do so: Dare Day, Flip a Coin Day, Oscar the Grouch Day, Rocky Road Ice Cream Day, Doughnut Day, Hot Air Balloon Day, and Cancer Survivors Day.
I have listed some of my favorites I might celebrate this month…..
June 6th: World War II D-Day anniversary and Drive-In Movie Day; June 7th: Daniel Boone Day and Chocolate Ice Cream Day; June 9th: Donald Duck Day; June 11th: Corn on the Cob Day and Dad’s birthday (No, it’s not a national holiday, but we always celebrated it like it was!); June 14th: US Army Day and Flag Day; June 16th: Fudge Day and Fathers Day; June 18th: Picnic Day, Splurge Day, and Chase’s birthday; June 20th: American Bald Eagle Day and Ice Cream Soda Day; June 21st: Seashell Day, Summer Solstice, and Make Music Day; June 22nd: Chocolate Éclair Day, Onion Rings Day, and Kissing Day; June 24th: International Fairy Day and Take Your Dog To Work Day; June 25th: Chocolate Pudding Day; June 27th: Ice Cream Cake Day and Sunglasses Day; June 28th: Paul Bunyan Day and Alaska Day; June 29th: Hug Day; and June 30th: Corvette Day. The monthly holidays and observances in June include Alzheimer’s and Brain Awareness; Candy, Dairy, Family, Fresh Fruit and Vegetables, Ice Tea, Perennial Gardening, PTSD Awareness, Rose, and Zoo and Aquarium.
Have a happy June! Here is to a great summer!
