I Am An American”

I am an American. That’s the way most of us put it, Just matter of factly. They are plain words, those four. You could write them on your thumbnail, Or you could sweep them across this bright summer sky. Just remember too that they are much more than words.

They are a way of life. So whenever you speak them, Speak them firmly; Speak them proudly; Speak them gratefully. I am an American.

The Fourth of July reminds me of the great country I live in.

It is the spirit and glory of the nation. The day of sacrifice and pride. It is the day of struggle and strife. So celebrate it in a grand way. And together let us wish and say, “I love my country.”

Happy Independence Day.

Happy Fourth of July! We’re blessed with the opportunity to stand for something—for liberty and freedom and fairness. And these are things worth fighting for, worth devoting our lives to.” President Ronald Reagan “I like to see a man proud of the place in which he lives. And I love to see a man live so that place will be proud of him.” President Abraham Lincoln.
