This and That
* Is it spring yet?
* Not going to lie, Candace Cameron-Bure’s Hallmark Christmas movie this year was a tad disappointing.
* I will not be watching the sequel to “Hocus Pocus.”
* Who remembers K-Mart Blue Light Specials?
* I read this and it made me laugh….“My Roomba just beat me to an M&M that I accidently dropped on the floor. I guess this is how the war against machines will begin.”
* Here is a dress code update they should have in every school….Students cannot wear clothing with the name of any musician or band unless that student can name at least three of their songs.
* Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers hasn’t been one of my favorite quarterbacks to watch/follow, but in recent weeks he has been edging his way up there for reasons off the field.
* Was rolling your eyes at your parents considered talking back?
* My sister will love this! When some young person asks you who Steve Perry is, you can answer, “Well, you see kids, before PCs and Auto Tune, there were these mythical creatures who could actually sing without the aid of technology, he is one of them.”
* I would love it if next Christmas Santa would throw a quick load in the washer, vacuum the carpets and wash his cookie plate!
* 1972 was 50 years ago!
* At the time I didn’t think it was fun, but now looking back, a wonderful memory of my childhood was picking apples in my Bobka’s apple orchard. Not only were there apple trees, but we walked into the orchard through an archway of grapevines which was located near her flower garden that was the size of a football field!
* You might have heard that Teeter (Jennifer Landon) on TV’s “Yellowstone” is Michael Landon’s daughter. He was famous for several TV series including “Little House on the Prairie” and “Highway to Heaven.” But what I think is pretty cool is that now Jennifer has come full circle and is playing on a TV show about a big ranch much like her father did when he starred as Little Joe in the western TV series “Bonanza.”
