Ruth A. Winters, age 71, passed away Monday, August 31, 2020, at her home in Russell.

She was born January 25, 1949 in Stockton, Kansas, the daughter of Lorraine Edward and Eunice (Maddox) Williams.

Ruth married William Winters in Osborne and to this union, five children were born: Correna, Robert, Angela, Michael and Michele. They separated when the twins were two months old and later divorced.

Ruth raised all five of her kids on her own. Ruth was a hard worker. She worked as a waitress and convenience store manager until she was forced to retire after a fall in 2013. Once retired, she was able to enjoy her grandchildren and spoil her 24 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; a sister Rita; brothers Robert, Roger, Rick, Ron, Art and Ray; and a granddaughter, Jackie Kuhlmann.

She is survived by her five chldren: Correna (Ray) Swaney, Robert (Kim) Winters, all of Stockton; Angela (Bobby) Kuhlmann, Michael Winters, all of Russell; Michele (Michael) Williams of SunTan Valley, AZ; a brother, Roy (Kristie) Williams of Plainville; and 18 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life was held on Saturday, September 5th, 2020, at 10:00 a.m., at the Assembly of God Church  in Stockton.
