LaDonna Lytle of Augusta went to be with the Lord on October 9, 2026, at age 90.

She was born on the family farm at Codell, Kansas, on October 1, 1936, to Michael and Eva (Cline) Loreg.

On September 21, 1958, she married Eugene “Gene” Lytle in Stockton, Kansas.

LaDonna was a hair stylist. She had two salons in Great Bend. She and Gene opened the beauty school, LaDonna’s Academy of Beauty, in Hays in 1977. LaDonna also managed the J.C. Penney’s Beauty Salon. She worked in several salons in Great Bend and Hays throughout her career.

Survivors include one son, David Lytle and wife Karen of Wichita; three brothers, Mike Loreg of Hoisington, Dean Loreg and wife Janice of Topeka, and Darrell Loreg and wife Janice of Tightwad, Missouri; four grandchildren, Andrew Peterson of Great Bend, Amanda Humburg of Wichita, David Lytle, Jr. of Wichita, and Rusty Purcell of Enid, Oklahoma; nine great grandchildren, Hailey, Gage, Ethan, Adleigh, Ashlee, Thomas, Jonny, Arlin, and Gavin; one great great grandchild and another on the way; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband; daughter, Cheryl Peterson; parents; three brothers; and six sisters.

The funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 16, 2026, at Bryant Funeral Home, with Pastor Dinah Mombo-Manyara presiding. Inurnment will take place at 10: 00 a.m. on Saturday, October 17, 2026, at Stockton Cemetery, with Reverend Ted Stapleton presiding. Visitation will be held Thursday, October 15, 2026, from noon to 8:00 p.m. at Bryant Funeral Home.
