Gertrude Ellen Strutt/Peacock/Morgan

A Graveside Service for Gertrude Ellen Strutt/ Peacock/Morgan, 87, of Marion, will be held on Saturday, June 20, at Ash Rock Cemetery.

She passed away on January 14, 2026, at Parkside Homes.

She was born June 4, 1938, to Theodore and Sarah (Cadoret) Strutt in rural Osborne County, Kansas.

She married John William (Bill) Peacock on February 13, 1956, in Stockton, Kansas. He passed away in 1993. She married Howard Morgan on May 26, 1995, on a farm near Canton, Kansas. She worked at Webster Supermarket in Stockton for 16 years, then began working in nursing homes and hospitals in Hanover and Hoisington, Kansas. After marriage to Howard, she worked at nursing homes in Hillsboro, including 10 years at Parkside Home and a year at Shiloh Manor in Canton.

She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers Dean, Joe, and Francis, a sister, Bernice, a son, Kendall, a daughter- in-law, Bonnie Peacock, and a sister-in-law, Ada Strutt.

She is survived by her husband, Howard of the home, a sister Judy (Tom) Butler of Enid, Okla.; sons Wendell (Diana) Peacock of Ada, and Randall (Karan) Peacock of Great Bend; stepdaughters Angela (Dustin) Young of Tonganoxie, and Pamela (Todd) Carley of Olathe; and sister-in-laws Clara Strutt of Stockton, and Bonnie Strutt of Lincoln; and seven grand children, and six great-grandchildren.
