He was born on January 15, 2007, in Hays, Kansas, to Bryce McDowell and Tory (Fisher) Benedick.

Zachary “Zack” Martin Moos, 35, passed away on January 14, 2025, in Plainville, Kansas.
He was born on February 28, 1989, in Hays, Kansas, to Brian and Lisa (Pywell) Moos.
Zack graduated from Plainville High School in 2007 and continued his education at NCKTC in Beloit, completing the plumbing, heating, and air conditioning program.
Charles William “Chuck” Dick, 49, of Zurich, passed away on January 14, 2025, at his home.
He was born on February 19, 1975, to Dennis and Peggy (Gibson) Dick in Smith Center. He married Stephanie Stephenson on April 19, 2004.
Chuck graduated from Smith Center High School in 1992 and spent his entire life working in the oil field. He was a man who would do anything for the people he loved, and his affection was always accompanied by teasing and jokes. Beneath his playful demeanor was a heart so full of love.
At the Rooks County Commission meeting on Tuesday, January 14th, Rooks County Fair Board President Kelly Muir discussed shortening the half-mile racetrack at the fairgrounds with the commissioners.
The Fair Board will get bids for the dirt work, with the total project estimated at $40,000.00.
