Happy Saturday! I hope this article makes it to next week's edition. I got busy doing other things this week and remembered to write it Saturday night! I am still trying to get well. Ugh! This sickness is just hanging on like cat hair in a biscuit. I am ready to be healthy again. 

Sharon Sue McLaughlin, 69, of Zurich, passed away on February 15, 2025, at HaysMed in Hays.

She was born on July 13, 1955, to Delwin and Velma (Meitler) Mendenhall at Plainville Rural Hospital in Plainville. She married Rick McLaughlin on October 21, 1978, at the United Methodist Church in Plainville.

Darcy (Peak) Rodger, age 49, of Hays, passed away on February 15, 2025, in Hays.

She was born July 6, 1975, in South Carolina, the daughter of Don and Gaylene (Duntz) Loyd. Her family lived in Kirwin, Kansas where she spent her childhood. She was raised in a loving home with her parents and siblings.
