Due to continued uncertainty surrounding COVID-19, the Hansen Museum Board has come to the difficult decision to cancel the 47th Annual Hansen Arts & Crafts Fair as well as the Museum’s 5k Run and 2 Mile Walk scheduled for August 15, 2020.

The Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE), in conjunction with the Kansas Department of Wildlife, Parks and Tourism (KDWPT), has issued its list of public health advisories for Kansas lakes due to blue-green algae.

As of Wednesday morning, the nitrate advisory on the City of Stockton's water has been rescinded.

According to water superintendent Jon Voss, it appears to have been an instrumentation error. "Our meter was reading high, but after taking the sample to Topeka, it tested fine," said Voss. "The safety of our citizens is always our top priority, therefore, we'd rather err on the side of caution," he added.
