Cedar Bluff bridge reopened in Trego County—The new Cedar Bluff reservoir bridge on K-147 in Trego County is now open to through traffic. The original structure, which was completed in the early 1950s, was closed in June 2019 by the Kansas Department of Transportation because of safety concerns about its structural deficiencies. Work on the $2.2 million replacement project began in February with Wildcat Construction of Wichita as the primary contractor.

William Eugene Bryan, of Plainville, passed away on Monday, August 24, 2020, at the age of 55 at Hays Medical Center in Hays.

He was born on August 15, 1965 to James and Leanna (Black) Bryan in Oberlin, Kansas. He was blessed with a son, Dustin, and later took in his grandchild to raise when she was just a baby, Rose Morales, who they loving nicknamed Peanut.
