Andrew Keith Pfannenstiel, 48, went to be with his Lord and Savior on May 17, 2025. 

He was born on June 9, 1976, to Duane (Whitey) Pfannenstiel and Sally Jo (Mapes) Hanhardt.

Duane Eber Dunning, 90, of Plainville, passed away peacefully on June 9, 2025, at the Rooks County Health Center in Plainville.

He was born on February 18, 1935, in Webster, Kansas, to Ray and Lula (Folsom) Dunning. He graduated from Webster High School in the Class of 1953. On November 6, 1954, he married the love of his life, Marilyn Jean Hunter, in Stockton, Kansas. Together, they raised two children, Steve and Vicki, and built a life centered around faith, family, and community.

Carmella L. Thyfault, 92, Hays, died Sunday, June 8, 2025, at Harry Hynes Hospice Center in Wichita.

She was born on December 19, 1932, in Hoxie, Kansas, the daughter of Fremond and Lucilla (DesMarteau) Comeau.

Carmella attended school in Damar and Fort Hays State University and worked at USD 269 as a special education teacher. On June 12, 1950, she was united in marriage to Mose E. Thyfault, and he preceded her in death on September 5, 1996. They had seven children.
