A number of people gathered at Hometown Plumbing Solutions for the regular monthly meeting of the Stockton Area Chamber of Commerce on Tuesday, October 13th. During New Business, the members present discussed the annual Olde Tyme Christmas.

The unemployment figure for Rooks County fell a full percentage point to 4% in September according to preliminary estimates reported by the Labor Market Information Services division of the Kansas Department of Labor and the Bureau of Labor Statistics. The four previous months’ numbers were: 5.5% May, 5.1% June, 5.3% July, and 5% for August.
