Mary Elaine Lawson, age 70, of Hays, Kansas died Sunday, January 16, 2022, at Locust Grove Assisted Living Center, LaCrosse, Kansas.  

She was born September 9, 1951, at Stockton, Kansas to Myron F. and Gladys Mae (Bailey) McDowell. She married David E. Lawson on March 1, 1972, at Beloit, Kansas.

The Rooks County Cancer Council recently found itself in a financial whirlpool. For over fifteen years Rooks County Cancer Council (RCCC), which is a volunteer agency working under the guidance of the Rooks County Healthcare Foundation, has distributed fuel vouchers and supplemental nutrition to residents who live in Rooks County and are receiving cancer treatment.

Noelle Louise Vohs, Brownell, Kan., passed away on Monday, January 17, 2022, from a short battle with cancer at Hays Medical Center, at the age of 56.
