Mark Allyn Green, of Norton, Kansas passed away Tuesday, May 9, 2023, at the Norton County Hospital, at the age of 54.

He was born on February 17, 1969, to Larry R. and Joan E. (Stafford) Green in Larned, Kansas.

He married Shelly (Sutter) Green on June 20, 1998. They later divorced.

Mark graduated from Mid-America Nazarene in 2022.

He was a Corrections Counselor 1 at the Norton Correctional Facility.

Former Stockton resident Stanley R. Roy, age 76, passed away Thursday, May 11, 2023.

William Duane Conger, 94, passed away May 7, 2023, at Kansas Soldiers Home in Fort Dodge.

He was born on December 28, 1928, in Natoma, Kansas, the son of William and Bethina (Hoskins) Conger.

The ongoing drought has affected many areas of Kansas and the Great Plains region. Producers are accustomed to adjusting for shorter-term dry periods but less so with an extended drought.
