Justin Knoll reaches 100th career win on the mat
100 Career Wins
Former Stockton High School wrestler Justin Knoll reached his 100 career wins milestone on Saturday, February 4, at the Nebraska State Activities Association State Dual Championships held in Kearney. Knoll, who lives in Rising City, Neb. and attends Shelby- Rising City High School, attributes his success to a number of local people who have had, and continue to have, an impact on his life.
His Pop and Nan, Dan and Dawn Knoll of Stockton, have shown their love and support throughout his life. “This accomplishment is all for Pop, as he’s the reason I’m still wrestling,” said Knoll. “He always calls to check on me and makes sure I’m ready for the next tournament,” he added.
Knoll also credits Kent Hahn for having such a great little kids wrestling program in Stockton, which helped prepare him for high school. “One of my favorite memories was playing Sharks and Minnows, and Steal the Bacon, after practice,” said Knoll.
Although Knoll moved away in March of his sophomore year, he still misses his Tiger Wrestling Team, and appreciates that Coach Clint Bedore always pushed and helped him through thick and thin while he was a Tiger. Knoll also includes the entire community of Stockton among those playing a role in his success, stating, “your love and support was appreciated!”
Knoll, the son of Stephen and Leslie Knoll, plans to attend the Utility Line Program at Northeast Community College in Norfolk, Neb. following graduation.
