Last week was tournament week for the men’s playing group. On Tuesday night last week, 32 men played a scramble. The winning team was Rusty, Parker, Rick, and Carter. Mid America Bank sponsored the hole prizes. Carter won Closest To The Pin, and Daw-son had the Longest Putt. Thursday night was the Par Three Contest, with the tee boxes moved to create a par three layout. Parker and Sam were first and second, with Phil and Lennox tied for third place. Dawson and Sam won the horse race that followed.
Saturday and Sunday were the course’s annual Club Championship. Parker Krob won the scratch trophy with a twoday total of 136. Rick and Owen were second and third. The two-day Handicapped Championship went to Owen Brewster at 128, with Kelly second, and Chris, Parker, and Jeremy tied for third place. The Sunday only Handicapped Tournament went to Owen with a 61, with Jeremy placing second, and Carver and David tying for third. The men’s group will continue to play on Tuesday nights until the time changes in November.
