Lorna Lee (Vogel) Green

Lorna Lee (Vogel) Green, age 64, of Phillipsburg, passed away Friday evening, July 11, 2025, at Phillips County Retirement Center. 

She was born February 23, 1961, at Phillips County Hospital, the daughter of the late Arnold and Bonnie (Smith) Vogel, of Phillipsburg, Kansas.‍ 

Lorna graduated from Phillipsburg High School in 1979. She then attended and graduated from Beauty School in Salina, and years later graduated from NCK Tech of Hays with her LPN License. 

She was a member of the Kingdom Hall and a former nurse, beautician, Mother, and Grandmother.

She enjoyed watching sports, as she was a huge fan of the Kansas City Royals and Chiefs. She enjoyed shopping, gardening, and spending time with her family, including her children and grandchildren. She was a big animal lover, caring for many cats, which were like family members to her. 

Lorna was preceded in death by her sister, Julie Elliott, and her parents, Arnold and Bonnie Vogel. 

Survivors include her son Jeremy and wife Aftan of Stockton; daughter Nicole Martin and husband Stephen of Stockton; ten grandchildren: Tiara Gant of Topeka, Jada Martin, Sean Green, Carter Martin, Connor Martin, Adrienne McCoy, Ava McCoy, Kyler Green, McCauley Green, all of Stockton, and Emilee Dimaplas of Salina; and a great-grandson Jordan Dyson of Salina. She is also survived by three sisters, Iris Stones of Phillipsburg, Janis Jordan of Holdrege, and Vicki Green and husband Alan of Stockton; and two brothers, Vance Vogel and Kirk Vogel and wife Donna, all of Phillipsburg. She also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her. 

Cremation was planned. A private family service will be held at a later date.
