SHS Graduation this Saturday at 3:00 p.m.
Event to be held in high school auditorium
Diplomas will be presented to the Stockton High School Class of 2022 this Saturday, May 7th at 3:00 p.m. in the high school auditorium.
The SHS Band will perform the traditional processional as the seniors file into the school for the last time as a class. Superintendent Bill Lowry will open the ceremony with the Welcome. High school counselor Scott Bennett will then introduce the Salutatorian and Valedictorian for the occasion.
After their speeches, a senior video will be shown followed by a special presentation by the Class of 2022. The seniors have chosen the song “My Wish” by Rascal Flatts as part of their presentation. Senior class president Olivia Dix will then introduce the guest speakers for the evening, Justin and Bobbi Basart.
Presenting the diplomas to the young women and men will be USD 271 Board of Education members LeAnn Dix and Chad Sterling. Then, Principal Lindsay Cravens will present the 2022 Graduating Class to family and friends before they leave the auditorium to the Taylor Swift song, “Feelin’ 22.”
The seniors have chosen blue and white as their class colors and bluetipped white carnations as their class flower. Their motto is “I don’t know about you, but were the Class of ‘22.”
Junior lead-ins are Cappi Hoeting and Chevy Bouchey. Ushers are Kaelyn Means, Elizabeth Busonic, Colton Williams and Landon Hemphill.
