* I read this and have to agree…. Grape soda doesn’t taste like grapes, but it does taste like purple, and I don’t know how to explain that.

* Here is another one…..I am pretty sure that the person who put the first R in February also decided how to spell Wednesday.

* Gardeners are the only people who willingly go outside to get dirty, sweaty, bug-bitten, and sunburned and call it relaxing.

* Old age will always be 15 years older than I am.

* Who remembers the Smith Brothers’ black cough drops?

* My Happy Hour is a nap.

* Do you know how to save 40% on your electric and gas bills this summer? Get a rope, attach it to two poles in your backyard, and hang your laundry out on the clothesline you just made. This solar clothes dryer also makes everything smell as fresh as sunshine for free.

* Here’s a good one….I finally get to Heaven, and God smiles at me, telling me I am about to get my wings. I ask Him, “Buffalo, hot, lemon pepper or barbecue?” God looks at me, sighs, and says, “Get Out!”

* Big News! Actor Rick Moranis is coming out of retirement to reprise his role in Mel Brooks’ “Spaceballs 2.” This will be his first major role since retiring in 1997, following his last live-action film, “Honey, I Shrunk the Kids,” to care for and raise his two children, Rachel and Mitchell, after the passing of his wife, Anne. Now, there may also be a chance at a new film, “Honey, I Shrunk the Grandkids!” Anyway, “May the Shawrtz be with you!”

* I read that some restaurants are now adding an 18% “Living Wage” fee onto your bill, and it is not a tip. The charges are meant to help cover staff wages as businesses shift away from tipping-only models. It is already showing up on receipts in major cities. Some customers call it fair, and others are not happy at all. What do you think?

* Try this Summer Hack….if your house is a mess, spend all day in the garden so you don’t make it any messier.

* This is what thrifty adults do….they put back a pack of chicken for $12.95 because they see one for $12.50

* So sad to learn of the passing of Brian Wilson. Though it was all about The Beatles back in the early 1960s for me, the Beach Boys were still up there on my playlist. They truly are the Sounds of Summer.

* And with that said, who remembers Jan and Dean?
