The Stockton Public Library Summer Program, “Color Your World In The Library” began on Wednesday, June 4th, and Thursday, June 5th, at 10:30 a.m. The first weekly session was with guest reader Anna Biggs with “Animals In Our World.”

On Wednesday, June 11th, community artists will be on hand, featuring Delaney Kohler, Karen Reed, and Sidnee Brown, with guest reader Anne Williams and possibly some music or a surprise!

On Thursday, June 12th, there will be more community artists, including Anna Larsen, Sidnee Brown, April Goodenberger, and Barb Henson, with guest reader Anne Williams.

PBS will be at the Library on Wednesday, June 18th, to “Share A Story,” and on Thursday, June 19th, Dean and Libby Kester with the Stockton Rodders will be on hand for a great day filled with cars.

Then, on Wednesday, June 25th, and Thursday, June 26th, there will be messy play with the Rooks-Phillips County K-State Extension Office, featuring slime, puffy paint, and Play-Doh.

All children will receive a blank canvas during the first week and are free to design their art piece using whatever materials they would like. These masterpieces will need to be returned to the Library by the end of June for a Community Art Show, which will be featured throughout July. A grand opening will be held on Monday, July 7th, at 3:00 p.m.

All events start at 10:30 a.m. each Wednesday (0-5 year olds) and Thursday (6-12 year olds) for the “Color Your World In The Library” Summer Program.
