Stockton Food Pantry presented with $500 FoodforGood donation check
In October, the Federal Home Loan Bank of Topeka asked their members, “What would your bank do with $500.00 to improve your community?”
They received submissions from 54 members with great ideas to help assist their communities. To say it was a difficult choice to narrow down winners from each state was an understatement.
In the end, they widely expanded their selection group from their planned eight winners and selected 26 winners from throughout the district, each of which are listed on their #500forGood webpage.
Solutions North Bank of Stockton was one of the winners with the submission coming from Amber Muir for the Stockton Food Pantry. Her submission is as follows: “The local Stockton Food Pantry recently moved to a new location. Some in the community didn’t know about the move and thought the Pantry had closed its doors permanently. With many community members at or below the poverty level, this needed resource is essential to Stockton. Solutions North Bank will use their #500forGood funds to help stock the shelves for local residents in need.”
On Tuesday, December 21st, a check was presented to the Stockton Food Pantry Board, who will now purchase much-needed items for the facility.
In attendance at the presentation were SNB President Dale Winklepleck, Cashier-Executive VP Jonathan Berkley, Sr. VP of Loan Administrator Amber Muir, Sr. Operations Officer Ginger Kriley and the Stockton Food Pantry board members President Duane Harris, Vice President Mike Rogers and Secretary/Treasurer Patty Jackson.
