Merchants await first baby of 2022
The New Year is just arriving, and Stockton merchants are preparing to greet the first baby born in 2022 with many fine gifts.
Last year’s Stork Derby was won by Avery Lynn Kuhlmann, the daughter of Shelby and Mitchell Kuhlmann of Stockton, who made her appearance on Monday, February 8th at 5:05 p.m. at Hays Medical Center.
Cash, merchandise and gift certificates are waiting for Mom, Dad and baby. The contest is made possible by these area merchants and business people: 183 Lanes, Farmers National Bank, Farmers Union Coop, Heartland Building Center, J-Mart, Nova Theatre, Pizza Hut, RGN Co., Inc. Oilfield Services, Solutions North Bank, Stockton Dental Center, Stockton Housing Authority, Stockton Pharmacy, Stockton Recreation Commission and Fitness Center, Stockton Sentinel and The Daily Grind.
Certain requirements must be met in order to win the contest and claim the prizes. The baby must be born to married Rooks County parents whose address is Stockton, Stockton routes, Woodston or rural route with Phillipsburg address, though the baby does not have to be born within the county. The birthday must be verified by the attending physician with the date and exact time.
The claim for prizes must be made within four days of the baby’s birthday and the Sentinel Office will provide the lucky parents with the proper credentials to claim the prizes. All prizes must be picked up within two weeks of when the announcement of the winner is made. Grandparents or other relatives may not pick up the prizes for the winning parents.
