Ray Davin Butler, 92, passed away on March 21, 2025, at Medicalodges of Great Bend.
She was born to Thomas and Margarette Knapp on October 27, 1932, in Dawson City, Yukon Territory, Canada.
Ray married Lyle Waggerman and, from this union, had five children. They later divorced. She married Richard Butler on July 2, 1982, in Central City, Nebraska. They made Great Bend their home in 2012. She worked as a sales clerk for a shoe store. She loved traveling to Lake Wilson, one of her favorite places. She was a volunteer of the Corps of Engineers from 2009 to 2011 at Lake Wilson. She was a member of Grace Community Church.
Survivors include her husband of 42 years, Richard Butler; sons, Larry Waggerman of Phoenix, Ariz., and Ron Waggerman and his wife Dawn of Las Vegas, Nev.; daughters, Nora Quinn and her husband Dick of Grand Island, Neb., and Lorna Klein of Canada; stepsons, Dave Butler of Garden City, Keith Butler of Russell, and Brad Butler of Pierceville; and sister, Betty; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, and a son, Raymond Waggerman.
A Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, May 31, 2025, at Pleasant Valley Cemetery in Alton, Kansas.
