It’s the 37th annual Parade of Christmas Trees at the Stockton Public Library! The creative designs/themes of the trees just keeps getting better and better! Decorations on the treesinclude doves, reindeer, stars, gnomes, and yes, even flamingos taking center stage. The twenty-five trees will be on display in the Carnegie Room during the month of December during regular library hours. Remember to vote for your favorite trees in the Adult and Youth Categories.

As always, there will be the Angel Tree with blue and pink hanging from its branches. Each angel has a child’s gender and age written on it so people can pick up one or two of the angels and purchase gifts for those who might not be able to celebrate the season if not for the generosity of this special community. The Rooks County Health Department asks that people bring the wrapped gift with the angel attached to the package to their office by Monday, December 13th so that all the gifts can be delivered before Christmas.

Businesses, organizations, individuals and classes who decorated trees for this year’s event are: Sander Family, El Respeto Community Group (Mrs. Kuhlman), Star 4-H Club, RoCo Arts Council, Inc., Sigma Phi ESA, SGS Third Grade, Ike Ho Okuma Community Group (Mrs. Graham), Mag’s Movement, Library Board and Staff, VFW Post 8873 Auxiliary, Mrs. Dunlap’s Mentor Group, Stockton Public Library Story Time/ Outreach, Williams Lawn & Junk Removal, SGS Kindergarten, Stockton FCCLA, Na Mea Hana Community Group (Mrs. Dunlap), Stockton FFA, SGS Second Grade, M Motel, Crafts from The Sunflower Shed, Stockton Meal Site, SGS First Grade, Stockton Rec Center, SGS Pre-School Classes, and Prockish Family.

This year there are also some areas for fun family photo shoots with Rudolph and friends backdrops, so make a trip or two to the Stockton Public Library this month.
