Stockton’s Olde Tyme Christmas next Friday, November 26th
“Rudolph Leads You Home to Shop Stockton” is this year’s Olde Tyme Christmas theme and it all starts off with pancakes to start the day on Friday, November 26th! Yes, you read that right, the Stockton Fire Department is having a free-will donation Pancake Feed starting at 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Stockton City Hall.
Then enjoy the FREE movie “The Star” at the historic Nova Theatre at 2:00 p.m. The movie is being sponsored by the St. Thomas Knights of Columbus.
Vendors will be scattered on Main Street and inside businesses from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. so make plans to get some early Christmas shopping done by local artists and vendors!!
Story Boards, courtesy of the Stockton Grade School, will be on Main Street business windows, so enjoy a little light reading as you stroll down the streets. Remember to visit
Remember to visit and take pictures by the Community Christmas Tree decorated with hand-painted ornaments by the townfolks. The tree will be set up on the stop light corner.
And remember to sign up for the weekly drawings in businesses throughout the day, plus look for the “Deer In Here.”
Also, start saving your receipts for the Passport Drawings, which is a “Shop Local” promotion that will run throughout the month of December.
You won’t want to miss taking a ride on the Virtual Roller Coaster at the USD 271 District Office between the hours of 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
The Stockton Lions Club will be serving a Soup Supper at Stockton City Hall from 4:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., so enjoy a bowl of hot soup and visiting with your family, neighbors and friends before heading down to Main Street to watch this year’s parade at 6:00 p.m. when the Christmas lights are turned on to mark the beginning of the holiday season. And we all know who one of the “Main” attractions of the parade will be—no other than Santa himself who is making a special trip to Stockton! He plans on visiting with all the girls and boys at Printer’s Park after the parade. Mrs. Claus and a few elves are also making the trip.
Then to end the evening, the FREE movie, “The Star” will be shown again at the Nova Theatre at 7:00 p.m. sponsored by the Knights.
