The Red Line Cruisers 5th annual Cruise Night and Car Show will be held on Friday and Saturday, April 30 and May 1, in Plainville. The Car Club is excited to provide attendees with another great weekend of fun.

Cruise Night will be held on Friday, April 30, and the Car Show is set for Saturday, May 1. The Cruise will run from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m., and includes the Poker Run which will be from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m.

Along with the local restaurants which will be open, the food vendors will begin setting up Friday afternoon, and will be ready to serve everyone on Friday evening and Saturday. This year’s vendors include: Screw Loose BBQ, Chubbs & Spudds, Red Barn Concession, Granny’s Shack and More, and the Sno Shack.

This event is a real blast from the past. People are encouraged to bring their lawn chairs and enjoy watching the vehicles as they drag Mill Street and Highway 183. The smell of food in the air, Classic Rock & Roll music, lights, and friends you haven’t seen in awhile will bring back wonderful memories from the past. It might also be noted that there will be no burnouts or excessive speed allowed during the Cruise, with tickets being issued to violators.

On Saturday morning breakfast will be served by the Plainville VFW from 7:00 to 10:00 a.m. at the local VFW Hall.

Registration for the Car Show, which will benefit Miles Axelson who was injured in a vehicle accident last July, starts at 8:00 a.m. and will run until 11:00 a.m. Please note, no pets, bicycles, or skateboards will be allowed on Saturday. The National Anthem will kick off the Car Show at 11:00 a.m.

While enjoying the cars and vendors, be sure to take time to join in the games and win some nice prizes or money.

The Corn Hole Tournament will begin at 12:30 p.m., so be sure to have your lucky partner with you or find one at the Show. There is a small entry fee per team. A Tire Changing Contest is also planned with the winner to receive a nice prize.

New this year will be Cassie Custom Arts, who will be there to pinstripe your vehicle if you are wanting it done.

The Red Line Cruisers Car Club is excited to hold this event again, after not being able to have it last year because of COVID. They encourage everyone to take time to check out this year’s sponsors on the Sponsorship Board, located by the music trailer. Let the sponsors know you appreciated their generosity, and how much you enjoyed the Cruise Night and Car Show. See you there!
