THIS AND THAT

* Say it isn’t so! “NCIS: New Orleans” is done after this season! Their last episode airs in May. I love this series even though I am still not over the fact that the show killed off Christopher LaSalle.

* Just so you all know, I am keeping my Dr. Seuss books as well as my copy of Huckleberry Finn, the Disney movie, “Dumbo” and my cartoon collection.

* Beverly Clearly—Thank you for the many books I read of yours! My favorite is “Ramona Quimby, Age 8.”

* When God made my grandkiddos, He was just showing off! Plus, I am the Grams who wore go-go boots and bell bottoms, listened to The Beatles back in the day and still listens to them today, and loves to ride in Mustangs, which sure makes me pretty cool!

* Now that we can get outside and start doing yard work, just remember that the grass may always look greener somewhere else, but it will be just as green in your yard if you remember to water it!

* Nothing is government funded, it is all taxpayer funded.

* Why do movie and TV studios never schedule their holiday movies around the specific holiday? I have seen scary and cute Halloween movies that come out in August, Valentine movies shown during the first week of January, movies that would work well before and during Easter Week come out after the Holy holiday, and St. Patrick’s Day movies set for the end of April. Makes me wonder if they are working off of the same holiday calendar as the rest of the world.

* Who else starts a conversation with “The other day” and can literally be referring to anytime between yesterday and fifteen years ago? Me—that would be me.

* Ever notice that the best commercial music is songs from the ‘60s through the ‘90s? The one that keeps running through my head this week is “Build Me Up, Buttercup.”

* I read this post and want to take it a step further. “Who else grew up using World Book Encyclopedias instead of the Internet and survived?” My step further is our family had a set of the Funk and Wagnall Encyclopedias. “Look that up in your Funk and Wagnall” was also a catch phrase on the Rowan & Martin TV series “Laugh-in.”
