Blake Balthazor and Johnathan Graham Champions at Stacy Runnion Open

Cole Flower, Quintin Trevino and Isaac Thayer placed second and Blake Balthazor placed first for the Stockton Wrestling Club at the Phillipsburg Stacy Runnion Open Tournament held on Saturday, January 4th.

Blake competed at 6 and under 43 pounds. Blake went 4-0 for the day and had two falls, one tech fall and won by decision 13-10. Johnathan Graham went 0-2 and won by falls against Jamison Mears from Beloit Wrestling Club to place first.

Cole Flower placed second in his first tournament at 6 and under 58 pounds. Cole won by a decision 9-2 and won by a fall and lost by a fall.

Quintin Trevino also placed second at 8 and under 80. Quintin won by a fall over Barrett Lix from Osborne and by a major decision 10-0 against Ellis. Quintin lost his third match to Karson Nichols from Smith Center.

Zeke Balthazor went 3-1 and placed second. Zeke pinned three of his opponents and lost by a fall to Summer Hackworth from Hays Wrestling Club.

Grayson Mongeau went 1-2 by winning his first match with a fall and two matches by decision.

Eli Atkisson lost three matches at 8 and under 46-49 pounds—two by decision and one by a fall. \Garrison Mongeau placed fourth and went 2-2 beating an Ottawa County Wrestler 7-2 and Huntley Watt from Phillipsburg 5-1.

Vincent Thayer went 0-3 at 10 and under 67 and DJ Ard went 2-1 and placed third with a fall over Colby Myers from Phillipsburg in round 3.

Isaac Thayer lost his first round but then won by a 8-6 decision over Levi Jaeger from Hays to finish second.

Mya Trevino placed second at 12u 88 pounds by going 0-2 against Brant Pfannenstiel from Hays.
