Letter to the Editor

Dear Editor,

I have attached a picture of my proposal for the Stockton 1/2 Mile if the Rooks County Free Fair Board and Rooks County Commissioners decide to go ahead with cutting the track down to a 1/3 mile. I feel it will be a real shame to lose the historic 1/2mile track. With this proposal, they can have both.

In addition, I have been in contact with the film crew that shot the racing scenes on the Stockton 1/2 Mile just two years ago, and the movie is almost done! It is 100% about the history and racing at Stockton; no other tracks are involved. I have seen some of the footage, and it will be pretty cool. They would like to premiere the movie at the Nova Theatre in Stockton and the entire community will be invited.

It is my hope those involved with this decision will consider this proposal.
