This And That
* Because of his love for Rock ‘n Roll, a person named his boat “A Sea/D Sea….For those about to fish.”
* I read that a Glen Powell Look-Alike Contest was held in the actor’s hometown of Austin, Texas, last fall. This is the new trend of look-alike contests being held nationwide and worldwide. So far, I have heard of Timothee Chalamet, Zayn Malik, Dev Patel, and Jeremy Allen White events. Now, I don’t know who some of these guys are, but as one lady put it, “What a great way to look for a husband!”
* I ate a box of the Girl Scout Thin Mints but didn’t get any thinner. I don’t think they work.
* Another Easter idea is while we wait for the chicken population to grow and start producing more eggs. Paint or dye potatoes!
* Would you rather swim with the dolphins or feed stingrays? I am going with the dolphins on this one. Who remembers watching the TV series “Flipper” back in the day?
* I love this!! For those who love to read books, were you as disappointed as I was that when you turned eight years old, you didn’t find a wardrobe to Narnia? Or when you turned eleven, your Hogwarts letter never came? Or when you were twelve, your satyr did not show up to take you to Camp Half-Blood?
* I read “A Senior’s Version of Facebook” and had to share….
“For those of my generation who do not, and cannot, comprehend why Facebook exists, I am trying to make friends outside of Facebook while applying the same principles. Therefore, every day, I walk down the street and tell passers-by what I have eaten, how I feel at the moment, what I have done the night before, what I will do later, and with whom. I give them pictures of my family, of me watering the lawn, of me standing in front of landmarks, of me driving around town, of me having lunch, and of me doing what anybody and everybody does every day. I also listen to their conversations, give them a ‘thumbs up,’ and tell them I ‘Like’ them. And it works just like Facebook. I already have four people following me: two police officers, a private investigator, and a psychiatrist.
