THE NORTH SIDE of the rigid-frame box bridge along U.S. Highway 24 at the west entrance of Stockton has been removed. This $2.3 million KDOT replacement project began on January 6th and should be completed by late July, conditions permitting. During the project's first phase, now in progress, traffic has been reduced to the eastbound lane and directed through the work zone by a temporary traffic signal. Once the first phase is completed, traffic will move onto the west side of the bridge, with one lane maintained in each direction. Drivers should plan for minor delays that should not exceed five minutes.
