Virgi’s Views On This ‘n That
* Are you ready for it? Monday, January 20th!
* This is an observation, and only the older crowd will understand. When I watched the Chiefs/Bills football game, the announcers talked about the new Bills hats people wore. It is a blue fur hat with horns coming out of the sides. When I saw it, I immediately thought of Fred Flintstone and the hats he, Barnie Rubble, and the Grand Poobah wore as members of the Water Buffalo Lodge!
* I want to thank all those who supported and called or wrote me about my TRUMP/VANCE editorial. I greatly appreciate it and want to say, “It’s time to Make America Great Again!”
* Coming full circle is music. First, we had live stage performances, 45s, and albums. Then we had eight-track tapes, followed by cassettes before CDs. Now we have streaming, but low and behold, on the horizon, the 45s and albums are making a comeback. Nothing beats listening to a song on vinyl and having that music at your fingertips to play any time you want!
* I know this is a little late of an observation, but was that not the fastest December ever?
* This is for my sister: The Bay City Rollers song, “Saturday Night,” came out in January 1976!!
* Here is a good one: “This is the most Mondayest Thursday I’ve ever experienced.”
* For those charcuterie lovers: “I love board games, My favorite one is where people put meat and cheese on a board. Maybe some fruit and crackers, too. I’m so good at that game because everybody wins!”
* Please take care of yourselves and avoid accidents because spare parts for old models are no longer in stock.
* I will say this one thing about the Minnesota Vikings. I loved it when they did the High School Musical celebration dance in the end zone!
* Here is the lineup for some of the holidays this year: Valentine’s Day is on a Friday, Fourth of July is on a Friday, Halloween is on a Friday, and Christmas is on a Thursday. Plan your weekend trips accordingly!
