* It’s that time of year when other women look cute in their flannel shirts and I look like I’ve misplaced my axe.

* If you remember opening that little triangular “wing window” in the front seat of the car to get a breeze right in your face, you were living the good life!

* The reason people never see time travelers anymore is they all went back to the 1980s and 1990s when there was great music, concerts were affordable, and nobody knew what gluten was.

* I hope I never become too grown up that I stop dancing in the kitchen, singing loudly in the car, laughing until I cry, getting ridiculously excited about the little things, jumping in puddles, waking up early on Christmas morning, or catching snowflakes on my tongue.

* I am a Type C person. Sometimes I wake up at 10:00 a.m., or I can wake up at 1:00 p.m. I can work for 15 hours straight, or I can do nothing for three days. I can text back in less than a second or two weeks later. I love being alone, but hate feeling lonely. And sometimes I keep my mouth shut, or I just say what I feel.

* I hope your September feels like a kiss on the forehead.

* When I was growing up, our social networking was called “Go outside and play.”

* Go make stuff today…. Make some cookies. Make a ruckus. Make a difference. Make memories. Make time for someone. The world needs makers. * Make sure you are always saying “I can’t believe I just did that,” not saying “I wish I had!”

* The richest thing people can have is peace. * The older I get, the more I hate making stops on my way home…like I’m late to my house!

* I read about people confronting their city council or school board and government officials about issues. And nothing ever gets done! People, recall them or vote them out! We put them in office, and we can kick them out!

* If you think you have learned nothing this year, think again, because nothing beats a Jet 2 holiday!
